Meet Our Windsor Psychologists & Psychological Associates

Meet the staff at Barron & Associates Psychologists. We are a group of experienced psychologists and psychological associates offering a wide range of psychological assessments and treatments. Each staff member brings their own unique knowledge and experience to our office, allowing us to welcome children, teens, adults, couples, and families to our centrally-located office in Windsor for psychological services.

Dr. Melissa C. Barron, C. Psych.

Dr. Barron received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the University of Windsor, both in Clinical Psychology. Her services include psychological treatments and assessments with individuals, couples, families and groups. Although she works with a variety of presenting issues, including adjustment, grief, anxiety and depression, her particular areas of clinical interest include crisis intervention and trauma therapies with military and emergency responders and their families.

Dr. Barron is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Canadian Psychological Association, Ontario Psychological Association, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress (Diplomate status), Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Dr. Jaime M. Arseneault, C. Psych.

Dr. Jaime Arseneault completed her Doctorate degree at the University of Windsor and she has been practicing with Barron and Associates since 2012. She works with children, adolescents, and adults. She offers assessment services (including learning disability, ADHD, Autism-Spectrum Disorder, and other developmental assessments) as well as individual, couples, and family therapy. She predominately uses cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approaches. However, she draws on a variety of therapy approaches and skills to customize treatment to the needs and goals of each client. Particular areas of clinical interest and training include anxiety, depression, trauma/loss, and parenting/behaviour management.

Carlo Alberto Grandi, Laurea, C. Psych. Assoc. (Italian spoken)
After earning his Laurea (Master Degree in Psychology) at the University of Bologna (Italy), Carlo completed a 4-year program at the Specialization School in Cognitive Psychotherapy (SPC, Italy). He is licensed with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Psychological Associate, and provides services using insurance coverage and other third party payment solutions. Carlo provides assessment and cognitive-behavioural psychotherapeutic interventions to individual adult clients with a variety of psychological needs, such as phobias, anxiety, depression, relational-interpersonal, obsessive-compulsive, sleep-wake, personality, psychotic, trauma, and stress related issues, problems, or disorders. His services are offered in both English and Italian.

Jill Schroeder, M.Ed., RYT

Jill received her training at the University of Calgary and is pursuing her license as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Jill provides psychological services to a wide variety of individuals and is experienced in various areas of psychological assessment and counselling. Jill has completed training in both therapeutic yoga and play therapy.

Elisabeth Bistrev, Office Administrator

Elisabeth joined our team in 2012 and serves as the Office Manager for Barron & Associates.

She will be your first point of contact and help you to get set up in the system by completing intake information and coordinating your initial appointment. She will respond promptly and sensitively to your needs with commitment to client confidentiality.

Her varied responsibilities within the practice ensure that the process of receiving services from Barron & Associates will flow as smoothly as possible and that you’ll experience personal, efficient and comprehensive service.
